闘病を支える夫・海老蔵について聞かれると
「私の母と主人と私と（闘病について）話している時に、
『1年以上もこんなふうに迷惑をかけて、これ以上迷惑をかけられない』
って言ったことがあったんです」
と、
「1年以上だよって言うのに、主人が『1年がなんだよ、ずっとなんだよ』って言ったんですね。
『真央のお母さんはずっとお母さんで、俺はずっと麻央の家族なんだよ。1年がなんだよ、ずっと支えるんだよ』
って言ってくれて……その言葉は本当ににすごく嬉しかったですね」
と、海老蔵にかけられたその言葉が支えになっていることを明かした。
